Ecommerce Marketing

How we help ecommerce brands grow profitably

We run acquisition and retention for ecommerce brands as one system rather than two. Employee-owned, founded in 2018, we manage over £1.2m of annual ad spend across Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube and Apple Search Ads. Creative, media buying, email and analytics all sit in-house, which means the people testing your creative are the people reading your numbers.

Creative

Creative volume is what moves paid social now. We produce statics, UGC and motion at the tempo the algorithm needs, then judge it on contribution rather than platform-reported ROAS.

Most in-house teams of one or two people run out of creative ideas long before they run out of budget. That production capacity is usually the real constraint on an ecommerce account.

Brand Development

On a crowded product page, brand is often the only reason someone picks you over a cheaper listing. We build the identity, tone and art direction that make a store recognisable across ads, packaging and inbox.

Graphic Design

The design work that sits behind a store rather than in front of it: product page layouts, offer and bundle presentation, email templates and the ad formats that carry them.

Video & Motion graphics

Short-form video is what paid social rewards. We produce demos, unboxings and creator-style edits built for sound-off viewing, then cut them into variants so the format can be tested rather than guessed at.

Content Marketing

The content that earns search traffic and gives an ecommerce brand something to say between promotions, from buying guides and comparisons to the category pages that capture demand before it reaches a marketplace.

Website Design

Most stores lose more revenue at the checkout than they gain from a bigger media budget. We work on product pages, cart, delivery thresholds and speed, and measure the change in conversion rate rather than in opinions.

Copywriting

Product copy, ad copy and email copy that answers the questions a buyer actually has: what it is, why it costs that, when it arrives, and what happens if it is wrong.

Advertising

Paid media across Meta, TikTok, Google and Pinterest, planned as one budget. We report blended MER and cost per new customer rather than each platform’s own reported return, because that is the number your bank statement agrees with.

Search Marketing

Ecommerce SEO that starts with category and product pages rather than the blog, plus the technical work behind them: feeds, structured data, internal linking and site speed.

Influencer Marketing

Creator partnerships run for performance, not reach. We source and brief creators, secure usage rights, and put the content that performs organically behind paid spend.

Acquisition

Paid social, shopping feeds and search run as one budget rather than three. We buy the first order against blended MER and cost per new customer, not last-click return.

Conversion

The first order rarely pays for itself. Email and SMS flows, subscription mechanics and winback are what turn a buyer into a repeat customer and make the acquisition maths work.

Email Marketing

For most stores the first order barely breaks even, so email and SMS are where the margin is. Welcome, cart, browse abandon, post-purchase and winback flows, built in Klaviyo and measured on repeat rate.

What we measure

We report the numbers that decide whether a store makes money, not the ones that are easiest to flatter.

Blended MER

Total revenue over total media spend, across every channel. The number hardest to flatter.

Contribution margin

Revenue after cost of goods, shipping, payment fees and media. Whether the growth is worth having.

Customer acquisition cost

What a genuinely new customer costs, kept separate from returning buyers.

Average order value

And how bundling, delivery thresholds and subscription options move it.

Lifetime value and repeat rate

What a first order is really worth, which sets what you can afford to pay for it.

Creative performance

Hook rate, hold rate and cost per purchase by concept, so the next round is informed by the last.

Ecommerce marketing FAQs

How much does an ecommerce marketing agency cost?

Fees are usually a monthly retainer, a percentage of media spend, or a hybrid. A retainer suits brands under roughly £50,000 a month in spend; a percentage model scales with the account but needs a floor. Ask any agency to separate its fee from your media budget in writing.

How long before it works?

Paid social and search can produce sales in the first week, but the first four to six weeks are mostly learning. Email flows return faster because the traffic is already paid for. Ecommerce SEO is the slow one, better judged over two to three quarters.

How is this different from a general agency?

An ecommerce specialist is measured on contribution after cost of goods and media, works in your Shopify and Klaviyo data rather than only in ad platforms, and treats product feed, pricing and checkout as part of the media job.

Do you work outside the UK?

Yes. We are UK-based and fully remote, and we run accounts across the UK, Europe and the United States.

Which platforms do you work with?

Most of our ecommerce work sits on Shopify, with Klaviyo for email and SMS and GA4 for analytics. We also work in AppsFlyer and Segment where attribution needs more than platform reporting.
