Growing on TikTok is easier than ever! with more and more people going viral everyday the capabilities are endless. But in order to go viral on TikTok in 2022 you need to commit to the game. Look at it like marriage, you gotta commit everyday. However I do understand that some of you (as much as you want to go viral) don’t have the time for that so here at the social media department we have accumulated the TOP trending sounds to help you grow your TikTok account to the stars.
It’s important to note that in order to go viral you have to follow a very simple formula:
- Be niche specific – hone down your speciality and what you want to represent
- Post 2-3 times a day over 30 days (then reevaluate what worked and what didn’t)
- Be patient. You can post 60 videos and the 61st will be the big hit. Test, explore and wait.
- Use the TOP TRENDING SOUNDS. “But George what ARE the top trending sounds?!”
I’ll show you, here are the top trending sounds for August 2022:
ABBA – Angeleyes (dark remix)
A strange but up and coming trending sound with only 10K videos underneath this sounds belt. To do this, start the video of simple before it dramatically changed. On the beat drop have whatever was so calm and easy be something that didn’t age well. Make sense?

TikTok is many things but lip syncing a self scanning machine is one I didn’t see coming. People are taking this sound and mimicking how the self scanner would look in real life, if you wanna jump on this trend (it’s super early too) then check out the examples I’ve linked so I don’t sound crazy!
“You looked so different!” transition trend
New sound on the block. The objective is to show where you’ve been, how you used to look and what’s new now. Use old photos and show what’s different now compared to what’s new now! easy! Psst… lip sync throughout the video to keep it engaging! Examples below:
I’m thirsty! Refreshing!
This trend is still going WILD so use this sound of you haven’t already! People are just getting wet (that’s what she said). To sum it up, lip-sync the sound and have somebody else just dump a bucket of water on you. The video ends with you saying “refreshing”.

“it was perfect, everything was perfect”
As we slowly transition out of summer you could use this sound to reflect on those long summer night adventures or alternatively have a throwback to how fun our easy living child hoods were where we all played Minecraft every night.
Why are you obsessed with Halloween?
I know it’s so early but people love Halloween so to all you diehard halloween fans this one is for you. Video starts with audio of someone saying “why are you obsessed with halloween?” the video goes onto show why they love halloween. Like a montage of all your favourite halloween movies. Easy.
And if for some reason you’re still hesitant about starting a TikTok account or you’re a brand trying to find new ways of exposure, take a read at the following facts about TikTok and it’s growth as of August 2022:
- There are 20 million+ active users in the UK
- Each user spends an average on 90 minutes a day on TikTok
- 90 million+ TikTok’s are made per month in the UK alone!
We get it… that’s pretty insane to think about but it’s a clear indication that TikTok is at the forefront of social media. Gen-Z’s attention span is 8 seconds and for Millennials it’s 12! Furthermore (a large majority) of people would rather consuming bite-sized pieces of content from TikTok compared to watch a feature length movie! Yikes Hollywood! If these results hold up over the foreseeable future the generation after Gen Z (which will be Generation Alpha) Then TikTok may have coincidently changed the trajectory of human evolution forever.
